Viagra safety and precautions
Never take Viagra if you are currently taking any nitrate-based medications such as nitroglycerin patches, nitroglycerin ointment, nitroglycerin pills, and isosorbide pills. This also includes recreational drugs known as “poppers”, as they are also based on nitrates. Combining Viagra with these substances will lead to a dramatic decrease in blood pressure that can be lethal in some cases.

In case you develop an erection that lasts over 4 hours, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible, because you risk having permanent damage to penis and permanent impotence.
In case you have serious bleeding disorders, a stomach ulcer, or retinitis pigmentosa (eye condition), you should use Viagra with extreme caution as the effects of the drug under such circumstances aren't well studied. If you develop any vision problems after taking Viagra, you should stop its consumption and contact a doctor immediately.
Viagra may interact with other medications, so it is very important to tell your doctor if you're taking any of the following:
- Other treatments for erectile dysfunction
- Alpha-blockers
- Amlodipine
- Cimetidine
- Erythromycin
- Itraconazole
- Ketoconazole
- Nitrates
- Rifampin
